MUNICIPAL SOLID WASTE MANAGEMENT PPP
FORUM
One of the major bottlenecks for PPPs
in waste management has been the lack of a direct interface
mechanism between Urban Local Bodies (ULBs) and private
waste management companies. FICCI Environment Conclave
had launched the MSW PPP Forum as a special feature
since 2008, where private waste management operators
and ULBs were able to interface directly and bring out
issues for better implementation of projects under the
PPP format. This year as well, the Conclave will feature
the MSW PPP Forum for ULBs to interface with private
waste management operators.
